DR. KATHLEEN M. COLORADO, MD, FAAD is a Board Certified Dermatologist who has lived and worked in the Tampa area for 20+ years. She is the Dermatology Medical Director of Colorado Health and Youth Dermatology Centers and she is also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the University of South Florida (USF) College of Medicine. There, she teaches medical students and resident physicians. She was a registered nurse and staffed the ICU at Shand's Hospital and was an E.R. Trauma nurse at Tampa general Hospital before returning to university to become a physician.
She graduated number one in her nursing school class with highest honors and a 4.0 GPA average. She continued her education and graduated from USF with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology pre-med with a 4.0 GPA average and Summa Cum Laude Highest honors.
She then completed her medical school education, received her Medical Doctor degree at USF College of Medicine where she graduated second (2nd) in her medical school class with a 4.0 average and Highest Honors. She earned membership in the exclusive and prestigious AOA (Alpha Omega Alpha) Medical Honor Society. She completed her specialty residency training in Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery at the USF College of Medicine Department of Dermatology in 2003. Shortly thereafter, she attained her Board Certification.
She has completed Post-graduate training and certification in laser therapies, Tumescent laser Liposuction and MOH's Micrographic surgery.
She has previously been a staff Dermatlogist at The Watson Clinic in Lakeland Florida. She has previously been the medical Director of Ideal Image Cosmetic Laser centers.
She is frequently a public speaker on current dermatology issues to the public and other physicians, physicians-in-training and Physician Assistants.
She is a member of the American Association of dermatology and holds hospital priveleges at memorial Hospital of tampa and Tampa general Hospital.
Dr Kathy and Dr Nick have four children which they homeschool and they all enjoy hiking, jogging, reading and (of course) Disney World with her family.
DR. NICK COLORADO, MD, FACOG specializes in Cosmetic Medicine and SkinCare, Ambulatory Women's Health and Hormone management, and Integrative Wellnes/Nutrition Medicine. He has lived and practiced medicine in the Tampa area for over twenty years. Out of high School he volunteer enlisted into the U.S. Military. He became a military medic/lab technician and achieved a rank of Staff Seargent. After six years he acheived an honorable discharge with a USAF medal of Commendation. He moved to Tampa from his overseas tour of duty to follow his dream of becoming a Physician.
He came to Tampa in 1982 where he enrolled in the University of South Florida (USF) and graduated with Magna Cum Laude Honors with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology pre-med. He completed his medical school education and received his Doctor of Medicine Degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine in 1988. He graduated in the top 5th (1/5th) of his graduating class and was awarded the "Robert G. Nelson Award" for academic excellence in the study of medicine. He has completed both published ("Green Journal" OBGYN 1/1990) and unpublished research.
He has been Board certified in 1996, and has for the past ten years specialized in Cosmetic Medicine, Integrative Wellness Medicine and Ambulatory Women's Health. He has been residency trained in surgical laser and has been practicing Cosmetic and Surgical laser medicine for twenty (20) years. He has performed major and minimally invasive surgery for over 20 years. He has a strong interest in nutrition medicine, hormone management and age management medicine. He has been trained in Tumescent laser liposuction techniques and assisting and processing techniques in Moh's micrographic surgery. He has received extensive post-gradute training and certification in advanced Botox techniques, Dermal wrinkle Fillers, Cosmetic Laser therapies, Chemical peels and microdermabrasion, sclerotherapy vein treatments, natural and medical weight loss and weight management, male and female bio-identical hormone management and skin analysis and cosmeceutical therapies.
On his off time, Dr Nick enjoys home schooling his four children with Dr Kathy, traveling, reading and writing.
AMBER LOEPER PA-C is a native of Tampa and is a proud graduate of Tampa Catholic High school. She has graduated from the University of Florida undergraduate with a Bachelors of Science degree. She then completed her post graduate studies at Nova University in Orlando, Florida where she was awarded her Master of Science Degree in Physician's Assitance Sciences. This qualifies her to examine and treat patients along with a Physician. She has continued to have extensive post graduate training in Dermatology with Dr Kathleen Colorado and through diligent continuing medical Education. She specializes in the care of all General Dermatology skin, Hair and Nail disorders including pediatric and all age group patients.
She enjoys reading and being with family.
